Colorado Motorcycle Tour 1

Tour Overview
Our first Colorado motorcycle tour is short but sweet: a quick ride out of Denver and into the mountains on some
scenic, biker-friendly roads, then back down into the Denver. We'll spend less than 5 minutes on an interstate
and we see some of the best scenery in the Denver area, and visiit some of the most biker-friendly
dining establishments in Colorado. On this tour, we'll see the following:
• Morrison, Colorado and Red Rocks Park
• Bear Creek Road
• Evergreen, Colorado
• Squaw Pass Road (Scenic Byway, Route 103)
• Idaho Springs
• Route I-40 back to Denver

The entire route is under 100 miles, but with all of the things to see and do, you can make an entire day of
this short trip.

- Head east on W Colfax Ave/I-70-BL E toward Wadsworth Blvd - 495 ft
- Turn right at CO-121 S/Wadsworth Blvd - 4.4 mi
- Turn right at Morrison Rd - 6.3 mi

- Turn right to stay on CO-74 - 4.6 mi
- Turn left at Squaw Pass Rd - 5.9 mi
Enjoy the ride and sites along the route 103 Scenic Byway, visit Mount Evans

Visit Idaho Springs, Idaho Springs Hot Springs
- Continue on 13th Ave - 0.1 mi
- Turn left at Colorado Blvd/I-70-BL - 315 ft
- Head east on Colorado Blvd/I-70-BL toward 13th Ave - 1.3 mi
- Continue on Frontage Rd - 0.2 mi
Chance for refreshments, dining, gas, hotel
- Take the ramp onto I-70 E - 2.9 mi
Our few minutes on the highway
- Take exit 244 on the left to merge onto US-6 toward Golden - 0.3 mi
- Turn right toward US-40 - 295 ft
- Turn left at US-40 - 7.6 mi
- Turn left to merge onto I-70 E - 1.9 mi
- Take exit 254 toward Genesee Park - 0.5 mi
- Turn left at S Mt Vernon Country Club Rd/US-40
- Continue to follow US-40 - 5.5 mi
